And the Wind Knows Her Name
~ Joelle Clark
A young girl loved the storms, she
loved to dance in the rain and sing
with the wind. The thunder always
were drums for her to dance to and
listen to the stories they told. The
lightening lit up her world with beauty and power.
And the wind knows her name.
As the winds of time and change blows through life, so it blew through her life and she was stolen from her people, from those who loved her so.
She had many experiences, some very beautiful and some very sad. She learned to hide her love of storms and to be careful where she danced and listened to and sang to the Thunder Beings. For not all two legged understood that the Thunder Beings carried the spirits of life itself.
But she did not fear, for the Wind knows her name.
As a young woman, the lightening blessed her with its touch. Her hair lifted and her eyes glowed.
She felt energized and aware of all that is. She saw the danger to the mother of all that is and to human kind.
She was taught that even the gentle voices of the Storms have purpose and she was not afraid. For the Wind Knows her Name.
She is older now and doesn't move as easily as she once had but she still sings to the storms and listens to their words . She shares their words and stories with those with a heart and ears to hear with.
For you see,The Wind Knows her Name.
